Waiting at Burbank airport Thursday night. Brian's plane usually runs late, so this time I brought my journal with me and sketched the people there.

Brian is sitting on the balcony in the sun reading. He looked so intent, that I don't think he realized that I'd been sketching him until I showed him this picture.

Sketching at the L.A. Zoo

San Diego Zoo was really, REALLY Big, and we saw quite a bit, but when we took the aerial tram, I realized that we hadn't seen even half of it!! Our feet were really sore the next day.

The Seals in the Marina. Their barks were the first thing I'd hear when I woke up and the last thing at night. I did get a pretty close up view of one of them, when we were out on the boat, they are amazing!

These are my latest handmade books and journals. The journal pages are scanned from my placemat journal and my canvas board journal. I also included sketches from the children's book illustration class. A lot of the artwork is very scribbly, but I thought you'd get a kick out of seeing it anyway.
The pages from the placemat journal were done using pen, pencil and watercolor pencil. The handmade books are mostly collage and acrylics on canvas board.
